Breaking news: The Vatican has forced Cardinal McCarrick to step down from active ministry after an allegation of sexual abuse of a teenager from 47 years ago is found credible. It is likely the first time a cardinal is stepping down for sexual abusing a minor. This is a developing story, so follow NCR for updates.
