When severe storms caused a massive flash flood in a Baltimore neighborhood back in May 2018, pastors of local churches found themselves coordinating relief and recovery efforts — roles they never imagined they'd have to fulfill.

After more than a year leading local recovery efforts from a massive flood, two pastors have a toolkit lessons they can draw from in the event that another storm hits their neighborhood.

Georgetown's Initiative on Catholic Social Thought and Public Life compiled ideas and proposals from a June national convening, outlining 10 strategic directions that emerged from discussions.
